GD was fully awake today and in good spirits when I reached hospital today, no doubt helped by the steady dose of morphine administered into the bloodstream and piped oxygen. Thank goodness for the wonders of modern science.
A doctor came by to check on the stiches. When asked, he commented that the bypass made at the colon will take some time to stabilise, ie. for the body to know that the 'new' route is the way for the waste to go. So GD is unable to partake solid food still for some time.
3rd Granduncle and Uncle Zhong came by to visit as well. GD was very happy to see so many visitors and was delighted to be fussed over.

Very happy to see GD smiling and chatting away. Very different from his ops day. I can feel his pain as I've also undergone a major surgery before.
He loves the fuss on him by us and the care by the nurses. Not forgetting he got a pair of "massagers" on to help with his blood circulation.
Yah. Too bad about the encounter yesterday. Hope he will get over that.
