Pasta at home

S and I have been trying out our version of pasta for a few weeks now. It started with me trying to cook and S being the taster, but the arrangement has happily being swapped.

My inspiration was an episode of 'Take Home Chef'. Curtis Stone demonstrated this super easy-to-cook pasta (hell, they all look easy on the telly) and I had to try it.

The killer part of the process is after simmering the onions and prawns (in my case), wine is added to create a fragrant sauce. As it turned out, we had some wine, albeit red instead of whie, that was just not good for drinking but will do the job for the task of the cooking class.

It did not stop at that dish because apparently S saw many areas of improvement which, in my opinion, had to be resolved by the better cook.

Suffice to say, S' culinary skill has improved steadily over the last few attempts. As for me, I realised pasta is perfectly matched with a glass of moscato, my favourite grape for the moment.
