Woodlands Town Garden - Then and Now

In this undated photo (but probably in the early 80s), the few of us grandkids were taking a group photo with grandpa. For those in my generation, you may noticed that the three of us were wearing the iconic "Little-D-D" t-shirts. Little-D-D was a robot who could do wonders. Children in our era loved the serials. The location was Woodlands Town Garden. Looking at the young trees, the garden must have been recently opened. This garden was one of the places we often visited to take a walk or to use the playground. My dad also visited it faithfully every weekend morning to practice his tai-chi. I also recall a Mooncake Festival organised at the garden by the Community Centre which was very well attended.Woodlands Town Garden now. Like all NPArks gardens, it is well maintained and scenic. The dogs are standing on the stage (at the amphitheartre) where dad used to practice tai-chi.Take a close look at the pavilion on the left of the photo. This is the same pavilion that you see at the 80s photo at the very top, albeit from the reverse angle. One more photo before packing up.
